With spring on the way, I'm getting into the retro and floral prints again. I also have some new nautical print fabrics and European Linen that I'm anxious to work with soon. It's so fun coming up with new fabrics for each season. I'm also open to suggestions, and still do custom work.

New Style

I've noticed that a lot of ladies like to wear their purse across the body, so I have created a new style with a convertible strap that can be used on your shoulder or across the body. These feature a new shape, an exterior pocket (in addition to interior ones), and a strap that attaches to silver rings and changes from short to long with an easy to use hook. Let me know what you think about this style.

New Line of Purses

I've come across some new fabrics "in the style of" famous artists, like Monet, Klimt, Warhol and Escher for example. Below are a few that have been made into great purses. Each one will have a tag that explains the work of the artist who inspired the fabric. ** All three of these purses sold at the W.A.V.E. Festival on March 1st. I'll get busy making more of these "artist inspired" purses for the next show.

For one night only! Eileen Cousino is bringing all her favorite shops under one roof especially for you! On Thursday December 13, 2007 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. This event is being held at Eileen's Wine and Martini Bar located inside Cousino's Navy Bistro. In addition to light hors d'oeuvres that will be sampled in the wine bar, there will be a magnitude of displays presented by many of Toledo's finest locally owned business and artists that Eileen Cousino has hand picked as some of her favorites. This evening promises to be a night you will not forget any time soon, so mark the date on your calendar, and tell all your friends to come shop.

I will be joined by my other "wearable art" friends for a Wear This! Traveling Boutique show at El Matador Restaurant on Airport Highway on Thursday, December 6th from 5-9pm. This is promoted as a Ladie's Night Out, but men are welcome too! Buy a great handcrafted gift for the special woman in your life.

Here is just a sampling of the new designs that I'm creating for fall and winter 2007/08. I will be doing a show at Sylvania Southview on Saturday, November 10th. Sunday I will be at Clara J's Tearoom on W. Wayne St. in Maumee, for their Holiday Open House. Remember you may also purchase my purses at Kismet Home and Art in Perrysburg and Tootsies Shoes at 2909 W. Central Avenue in Toledo. Harrison Rally Day

The fall festival season started off very well at Harrison Rally Day in Perrysburg. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to see me at my booth on Saturday.

In the next week I will be contacting ladies who expressed an interest in hosting a "purse party" while at Harrison Rally Day. Now is a great time to get on the schedule for a pre-holiday party. If you think you are interested and didn't let me know on Saturday, give me a call or email soon.

Remember if you would like to purchase a gift for someone but can't choose, I offer gift certificates. The recipient can then choose from my inventory or help create their own original design by selecting the fabric and style of their own purse.

The girls from wear this! are ready to start the fall season.

Our group consists of approximately ten

talented women who all create "wearable art". Our creations range from jewelry, scarves and purses, to jackets and much more. On the schedule already are a fashion show at Clara J's Tea Room and a festival in Ottawa Hills, we will also be showing as a group at the Holiday Art / Craft show at Southview H.S. in November.

Our goal is to become a "traveling boutique" that will appear at local women's groups, country clubs, and charity events. We will gladly donate a portion of the day's sales to a charity of the hosts choosing. These photos are from a charity show we attended at Twigs in Rossford, Ohio.

Tired of seeing the same old things at the mall, check out the great "wearable art" from the members of our group and see what it is like to wear an original creation.

Fall Update

UT's Art on the Mall was a great show. I introduced my new style of t-shirt purse and the response was very positive. I've been working on orders taken at UT and will begin working building up stock for upcoming shows. I will continue to have purses for sale at Kismet Home and Art on Louisiana Avenue in Perrysburg and Tootsies shoe store at 2909 W. Central in Toledo.

My wearable art co-op group "Wear this"will be involved in several shows coming up:

We will be at the Old West End Festival in Toledo on June 2nd and 3rd.

Several of us will be at Art in the Garden, sponsored by Garden Delights of Sylvania on June 9th.

Many of us will have items placed for auction at Loft and Home on Central Avenue. This auction will benefit the YWCA Battered Women's Shelter. Auction items may be viewed between June 3rd and 10th, with the auction at the event on the 10th.
